1. What kind of reading tutorials do you provide?

We provide an individual or small group tutoring session using an Orton-Gillingham method of teaching reading, writing, and spelling. We further provide students with the opportunityof working on the Rapid Reading App which provides further drill and practice in reading.

 

2. How much does it cost?

All services are provided free of charge to the children of low-income families

 

3. How can I get my child screened?

You can call our office and leave you name and phone number and the time of your call. Someone will return your call and set up an appointment for the screening.

 

4. What documents do you need?

We will need copies of any previous academic/psychological testing including your IEP if you have one. We will also need some verification of income to be eligible as low-income.

 

5. Where does tutoring take place?

Meetings can take place at our office, libraries, schools, community centers, or churches.

 

6. Does my child have dyslexia?

Does your child struggle with decoding/encoding words? Is your child cognitive function in at least in the average ranges. These can be symptoms of dyslexia or a reading disorder.
